From 25 to 30 March 2022 Dushanbe hosted the Asian Road and Para Cycling Championships for the first time. The sanatorium was its platinum sponsor and housed guests from 30 countries.

How the healing water at Shohambari was found in 1952
Shohambari's medicinal water has been known since 1952, when drilling found it and treatment began at once. New wells followed in 1986, and the five-storey sanatorium building went up in 1990.
